Two-part Installation on the wall and pavement at the entrance of Dronninglund Efterskole/Boarding school in connection with the school’s 60th anniversary.

A boarding school can be interpreted as rings in water – a constant movement and influence on everyone who is part of the community at the school.
A boarding school is also a place that is affected by the surrounding society and, in turn, influences it. Both right now, and when the young people go out into the world with a year of boarding school experiences in their souls, minds, and bodies.

Like Rings in Water consists of two parts.
Firstly, a relief on the wall above the entrance door, depicting rings in the water seen slightly from the side, creating depth in the motif.
Secondly, stepping stones placed in the paving in front of the entrance.

The relief and the stepping stones engage in an internal dialogue and appear as a cohesive expression, both created with corten steel.
The nature of the material ensures that the work is marked by eternal transformation in the interaction with the surrounding conditions, incl. the weather.
