Latex is a material that, the instant it meets oxygen, enters into a slow, unhurried decay.
Wadding is usually used as an underlayer in textiles, a substance that lives a quiet, almost invisible life.
In working with latex, I am drawn to the material’s intimate bond with impermanence and the gradual unravelling of form over time.
