When Silence Responds

The exhibition revolved around listening, silence, and the contemplative.
We live in a society where silence and the listening aspect, by all accounts, are struggling, despite the fact that they seem to be something we deeply long for.
Listening can be seen as an active act, and perhaps we can try to listen with our ears, eyes, and heart, thereby approaching an understanding of our connection to the world.

All my life I have been drawn to the ways we listen to and sense the world. There is so much noise around us, and such a deep need to listen more fully, to make room for ourselves, for one another, and for that which is more than human. We are called to recognize how profoundly dependent we are, how intimately connected to all that lives. We are called to lean into silence, to listen closely, and to attend to the answers that may emerge.
